Charcoal is getting expensive. This burns longer, for less.
Sironka Briquettes turns sawdust, charcoal dust and farm waste into clean-burning fuel - made in Kenya, for homes, kiosks, and businesses at scale.

A cleaner fire, built on the factory floor - not a slide deck.
Sironka Briquettes is a clean energy manufacturing business producing high-quality, eco-friendly briquettes from locally sourced biomass waste. We combine low-smoke carbonization, controlled pressing, and a high-capacity 400,000 kcal/h drying system to keep every batch consistent - the difference between a fuel you can plan a kitchen around and one you can't.
Nothing here was cut down for this.
Every input is a waste stream somebody else already had — we just give it a second job.

Feedstock
Fine, dry and abundant near our collection centres.

Charcoal dust
Otherwise discarded fines swept from charcoal sacks and stalls.

Agricultural residue
Husks, stalks and other crop waste that would otherwise be burned in the open.

Binder
Holds pressed material together without synthetic additives.
From residue to resource.
Five stages turn discarded biomass into fuel someone can rely on.
Collect
Suitable biomass residues — charcoal dust, farm waste — are sourced from mills, traders and farms that would otherwise burn or dump it.
Transform
Raw material is carbonized, blended and pressed under controlled conditions into a dense, consistent fuel.
Refine
Every batch is dried and checked for consistency — the difference between a fuel you can plan a kitchen around and one you can't.
Deliver
Finished product reaches households, kiosks, restaurants and institutions — directly and through distribution partners.
Create value
What started as waste becomes affordable energy, local jobs, and a cleaner alternative to charcoal.

We see value where others see waste.
Circular
Waste becomes an input rather than an endpoint.
Practical
Built around real cooking and energy needs, not novelty.
Accessible
Affordable energy for households and small businesses.
Scalable
A model designed to grow beyond one factory.
Waste in, clean fuel out, forests left standing.
Sironka doesn't just make a cleaner-burning product — it closes a loop that Kenya's charcoal trade currently leaves open.
Waste collected
charcoal dust and farm residue picked up from mills and farms that would otherwise burn or dump it.
Processed & pressed
Carbonized, bound and pressed into briquettes at the production site.
Delivered & burned
Sold direct or through resellers to households, restaurants and institutions.
Deforestation avoided
Every ton burned as briquette fuel is a ton of charcoal that didn't need cutting timber.
Three shapes, built for how you cook.
Cylindrical
Classic hollow-core log shape. Best airflow, steady burn — the household favorite.
Pillow
Dense, compact, easy to stack. Popular with restaurants and nyama choma joints.
Hex
Interlocking edges for tight-packed, longer-burning fires. Built for institutions and bulk kitchens.
Urban households
Middle and low-income homes switching off costlier, harder-to-source charcoal.
Restaurants & food vendors
Mama mboga stalls and nyama choma joints running fires all day, every day.
Schools & institutions
Bulk kitchens that need predictable fuel costs and consistent burn quality at scale.
Small industry
Bakeries, dryers, and poultry farmers needing steady heat for production processes.
How can we work together?
Mission
Deliver affordable, sustainable, high-performance briquette fuel that reduces deforestation, lowers household energy costs, and supports cleaner communities across Kenya.
Vision
To become a leading briquette manufacturer in Kenya, East Africa and beyond — known for quality, innovation and its contribution to renewable energy adoption.
The next chapter is bigger.
Sironka is building a scalable clean-energy model around waste, manufacturing, distribution and opportunity. We're open to strategic conversations that help that model grow.
