Our model

A closed loop, from waste to value.

Every stage - sourcing, processing, manufacturing and delivery - is built to turn overlooked biomass into fuel people can rely on.

How it works

From residue to resource.

Five stages turn discarded biomass into fuel someone can rely on.

01

Collect

Suitable biomass residues — charcoal dust, farm waste — are sourced from mills, traders and farms that would otherwise burn or dump it.

02

Transform

Raw material is carbonized, blended and pressed under controlled conditions into a dense, consistent fuel.

03

Refine

Every batch is dried and checked for consistency — the difference between a fuel you can plan a kitchen around and one you can't.

04

Deliver

Finished product reaches households, kiosks, restaurants and institutions — directly and through distribution partners.

05

Create value

What started as waste becomes affordable energy, local jobs, and a cleaner alternative to charcoal.

Sourcing

What we accept

We work with farms that have biomass residue they don't have a use for, turning a disposal problem into a supply relationship.

Quality

How we keep it consistent

  • Consistent moisture content before pressing, for a steadier burn
  • Standardized sizing and density across every batch
  • Routine checks at collection, processing and packaging stages
Distribution

How product reaches customers.

Direct retail

Bagged briquettes sold directly to households and small vendors.

Bulk & institutional

Scheduled deliveries to restaurants, schools and other high-volume kitchens.

Resellers & distributors

Local stockists who carry Sironka briquettes in their own outlets.

Currently delivering countrywide.

The loop

Waste in, clean fuel out, forests left standing.

Sironka doesn't just make a cleaner-burning product — it closes a loop that Kenya's charcoal trade currently leaves open.

01

Waste collected

charcoal dust and farm residue picked up from mills and farms that would otherwise burn or dump it.

02

Processed & pressed

Carbonized, bound and pressed into briquettes at the production site.

03

Delivered & burned

Sold direct or through resellers to households, restaurants and institutions.

04

Deforestation avoided

Every ton burned as briquette fuel is a ton of charcoal that didn't need cutting timber.
